This is really cool–a map showing the relationships among different fields of science culled from 1.6 million scientific papers. Each blob–called a node–represents a particular scientific field, and the more papers in that topic, the bigger the node. Lines connect the nodes, where the number of mutual citations of a particular topic determines the length. The result is a rather beautiful visual unification of all science.
